Qatari–Sudanese Project Launches Cochlear Implant Surgeries for Children in Khartoum

A joint humanitarian medical project between Sudan and Qatar has been launched to provide cochlear implant surgeries for children at Doha Hospital in Khartoum, with support from Qatar Charity.
The project aims to provide free medical treatment and restore hope to children suffering from hearing loss.
Ibrahim Ali, Deputy Director General of Doha Specialized Hospital for Ear, Nose and Throat in Khartoum State, announced that all preparations have been completed for the launch of the cochlear implant camp. The initiative will perform the first cochlear implant surgery in Sudan since the war, in partnership with Qatar Charity.
The announcement was made in the presence of the Sudanese Minister of Health, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, and the Governor of Khartoum State. Ibrahim Ali stated that the resumption of the program marks the return of one of the country’s most important specialized medical services and reflects the ongoing recovery of Sudan’s healthcare sector.
