Sudanese Political Forces Reject Al-Burhan’s Calls for Dialogue

Addis Ababa – Mashaweer

Sudanese political forces have announced their rejection of the dialogue initiative launched by Sudanese Army Commander General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, stressing that they neither accept the initiative nor recognize any outcomes resulting from it.

The meeting was attended by Abdullah Hamdok, head of the Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces (Sumoud), Sudan Liberation Movement leader Abdelwahid Mohamed Nour, leaders of the forces aligned under the Sumoud Alliance, and representatives of civil society.

During the meetings, the parties agreed to reject the methodology of the Quintet Mechanism and called for its revision in line with the civil forces’ vision for the political process.
