“MASHAD” Calls for International Investigation into Rapid Support Forces Violations in North Kordofan
Reports – Mashawir

The Darfur Youth Organization for Human Rights Monitoring (MASHAD) has called for an urgent and independent international investigation under UN supervision into the massacres committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the villages of Shaq Al-Noum and Wad Hamid in North Kordofan, describing them as acts of genocide that are not subject to a statute of limitations.
In a statement, the organization condemned what it called the “brutal massacres and acts of genocide” carried out by the RSF in Shaq Al-Noum and Wad Hamid, which resulted in the killing of over 319 civilians, including 64 children under the age of 18. The attacks also left hundreds injured and involved extremely violent sexual assaults against more than 10 women.
MASHAD stressed that the ongoing regional and international silence in the face of such crimes amounts to implicit complicity and encourages their repetition and escalation—posing a serious threat to Sudan’s future security and stability and deepening the suffering of its people.
