International Efforts to Accelerate Resolution of the Sudanese Crisis
Reports – Mashawir

The United States is set to host high-level meetings later this month involving the foreign ministers of the Quartet countries—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and the U.S.—to discuss ways to end the war in Sudan.
U.S. President Donald Trump, during a meeting with the heads of five African nations—Mauritania, Senegal, Liberia, Guinea-Bissau, and Gabon—touched on the issue of ending the conflicts in both Sudan and Libya, though without providing specific details.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed to international media outlets that the Sudanese conflict will be a key area of focus for Washington in the coming period.
White House advisor Mossad Boulos also stated that the administration has decided to intensify efforts to establish peace in both Sudan and Libya.
Diplomatic sources revealed that disagreements have emerged within the Quartet regarding which parties should be included in the process, ahead of the upcoming Washington meetings. The friction follows the invitation extended to Abdullah Hamdok, head of the civilian coalition Forces of the Revolution (Samood), to attend side meetings—similar to those held during the London Conference in mid-April.
