Sudanese Doctors: Brima Rashid Massacre Marks a Dangerous Continuation of Systematic Violations Committed by the RSF

Reports – Mashawir

The Sudanese Doctors Network reported that the death toll from the Brima Rashid massacre in West Kordofan State has risen to 27 killed and 43 injured following a renewed attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on an area north of Al-Nuhud city in the same state.

In its statement, the network said that the attacking forces assaulted unarmed civilians — women, children, and the elderly — inside their homes, in a bloody scene reminiscent of the worst crimes against humanity.

The statement emphasized that this massacre represents a dangerous extension of systematic violations committed by the RSF against civilians across several states, amid deafening local and international silence and a deliberate disregard for the suffering of the Sudanese people.

Since June, the RSF has been carrying out large-scale attacks on villages in North and West Kordofan, accompanied by looting, destruction of homes, and displacement of residents.

The RSF currently controls most areas of West Kordofan, including the state capital, Al-Fula, as well as the towns of Muglad, Meiram, Lagawa, Al-Khuwai, Al-Nuhud, and Wad Banda, while the army retains control over Babanusa and some oil fields in Heglig.
