“Sumood” Alliance Calls for Protection of Civilians’ Safety and Dignity in Khartoum

Follow-ups – Mashawir

The Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces (Sumood) condemned the forcible deportation of dozens of South Sudanese nationals from the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

In a statement, Sumood described the deportations as acts alien to Sudanese ethics and contrary to international norms that guarantee human dignity and the right to protection.

The alliance expressed deep concern over these arbitrary measures taken by the de facto authorities, which it said ignore the bonds of brotherhood and shared destiny between the peoples of Sudan and South Sudan.

The statement urged the authorities to immediately halt these actions and to ensure the safety and dignity of all civilians, regardless of their nationality or background.

It also appealed to the international community and human rights organizations to provide urgent support and protection for those affected.

Meanwhile, the Committee for Security Control and Enforcement of State Authority issued warning messages in English on Wednesday, stating that refugees will be transferred to designated camps, while those residing illegally will be repatriated to their home countries. The committee also urged foreign nationals with expired residency permits to regularize their status with immigration authorities or leave the country to avoid violations.
