Civil society organizations have warned of a surge in forced displacement operations caused by recent armed attacks carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Darfur and South Kordofan.
Residents are facing harsh conditions, including looting and threats inside villages and along escape routes.
Field reports indicate that the expansion of these forces in North Darfur is opening the door to new waves of displacement and widening the scope of the humanitarian tragedy affecting civilians in the area.
The forces are reportedly forcing many families to leave their homes and pushing them to flee toward remote areas lacking basic services and means of survival, amid a declining capacity to deliver humanitarian aid.
