“Emergency Lawyers” Hold Both Sides of the Conflict Responsible for the Spread of Cholera Epidemic
Follow-ups – Mashawir

The “Emergency Lawyers” organization has held both parties to the conflict in Sudan responsible for the spread of the cholera epidemic, which threatens the lives of thousands of citizens.
They pointed out that the situation is worsening in displacement areas and densely populated communities that lack the most basic health and safety standards, amid the collapse of the healthcare system and deteriorating living and environmental conditions.
The organization called on the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, each within their respective areas of control, to declare a state of health emergency and strengthen surveillance and reporting systems.
It emphasized that these steps are essential to ensure an effective medical response, make greater efforts to provide clean water and disinfectants, and urgently repair sewage systems.
