“Samood” Alliance: Foreign Ministry Attempts to Extinguish Every Spark of Hope to End the War and Alleviate the Suffering of Millions of Sudanese

The official spokesperson for the Civil Forces Alliance “Samood,” Jaafar Hassan Othman, stated that the Foreign Ministry’s recent statement opposing the alliance’s latest efforts to support a ceasefire was not surprising.

In a post on Facebook, he accused the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of fueling the flames of war, claiming it is attempting to extinguish every spark of hope that emerges to resist the conflict and end the suffering of millions of Sudanese people.

He further added that the Foreign Ministry had acted as an obstacle to a planned meeting between the army commander and the leader of the Rapid Support Forces, which was supposed to take place in Djibouti in early 2024 to help bring the war to an end.
