Initiatives to Support Displaced Persons’ Communal Kitchens in North Darfur

The North Darfur State Government launched in El Fasher a program to support communal kitchens, funded by the “Alliance of Honorable Sudanese Abroad,” under the patronage of the Acting State Governor and the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid.

Acting State Minister of Social Development Badoor Adam Ahmed confirmed that the program targets displaced persons and those affected by the war in El Fasher, as part of a series of official efforts and initiatives by various entities since last December.

State Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid Abbas Yousif Adam stated that the commission is working diligently with its federal counterpart and other national initiatives to provide essential needs for the displaced and those affected by the war, and to fill the gap left by the departure of international agencies and organizations from the state.
