Artillery Shelling Forces Residents of “Abu Shouk” Camp to Flee Amid Harsh Conditions
Mashawir – Reports

Artillery bombardment on the “Abu Shouk” camp for displaced persons, located north of El Fasher, has forced most residents to flee their homes in search of safer areas — some on foot, others using traditional means of transport.
Volunteers noted that most of these displaced families are facing tragic conditions in the complete absence of humanitarian organizations on the ground.
They pointed out that violence inside the camp has steadily escalated since the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) entered it on August 11, leading to an almost total displacement of residents — some seeking safety in other parts of the city, others fleeing to Tawila, Kurma, and Jebel Marra.
The humanitarian situation in El Fasher has severely deteriorated due to ongoing battles, food shortages, and the collapse of healthcare, all compounded by the siege imposed on the city since April 2024.
