El Fasher Resistance Committees: Rising Animal Feed Prices and Worsening Food Shortages

Reports – Mashawir

The El Fasher Resistance Committees have revealed a sharp rise in the price of livestock feed (ambaz) due to severe shortages in supply, alongside an escalating scarcity of food commodities.

In a statement, the committees noted that “most tekkiyas and charitable kitchens that used to provide meals for those in need have stopped operating, as they can no longer even afford to purchase ambaz.”

The statement likened life in El Fasher to “a daily struggle for survival,” describing a catastrophe that has “surpassed all limits of endurance,” as the city remains under siege and “suffocated by all kinds of lethal weaponry — armored vehicles, drones, and heavy artillery that bomb its neighborhoods daily without mercy.”

The committees further stated that “the tragedy in El Fasher has reached its peak as the Rapid Support Forces are now dispersing gases that poison even the air people breathe,” calling it a war crime and a flagrant violation of international treaties and conventions.
