Tawila Emergency Committee Appeals to International Organizations to Save Displaced Civilians
Mashawir – Agencies

The Emergency Committee of the Tawila area, which is witnessing a growing influx of displaced people fleeing El-Fasher, has appealed to international, regional, and national organizations, as well as humanitarian donors, to provide urgent assistance to save lives and alleviate the suffering of the displaced population.
As violations against civilians continue inside the city—where many have been unable to escape—concerns are mounting that El-Fasher may be sliding into a new phase of genocide, according to the El-Fasher Resistance Committees Coordination.
The Sudanese army suffered a major setback after the withdrawal of the Sixth Infantry Division, one of the largest military garrisons in western Sudan, from El-Fasher on Sunday, October 26. This withdrawal marked the loss of the army’s last stronghold in the Darfur region.
With the fall of El-Fasher, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have now completed their control over all five state capitals in Darfur:
El-Fasher (North Darfur)
Nyala (South Darfur)
Zalingei (Central Darfur)
El-Geneina (West Darfur)
El-Daein (East Darfur)
The situation has triggered a deepening humanitarian crisis, with Tawila emerging as one of the main destinations for newly displaced families lacking food, shelter, and medical care.
