The Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for African Affairs, Massad Boulos, on Saturday called on the two parties to the conflict in Sudan to implement an immediate ceasefire without any preconditions, expressing his hope for the regular delivery of humanitarian aid to El Fasher, Sudan.
In a post on his account on “X,” Boulos said: “We renew our call on the two warring parties in Sudan for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, and we call for the provision of unconditional assistance to all areas of Sudan, building on this progress to ensure a comprehensive humanitarian truce.”
He added: “Finally, we urge the international community to increase its financial contributions to help the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confront and respond to the critical situation.
