The Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces, known as “Somoud,” has announced the joining of four new political and social entities. The alliance stated that this move aims to strengthen its national base and unify the forces of revolution and change.
According to the official statement, the newly joined entities are: the Nasserist Party and Social Justice Current, the Sudanese Kush Movement, the Revolutionary Current for Eastern Sudan and the Atbara Resistance Committees
The alliance reaffirmed its commitment to its core objectives, primarily ending the war and achieving a comprehensive, sustainable peace. It also emphasized the completion of the December Revolution’s goals by establishing transitional justice, holding perpetrators of crimes and violations accountable, and building a civil, democratic state rooted in the rule of law and the will of the people.
Furthermore, “Somoud” stressed the importance of protecting Sudan’s unity, enhancing the participation of women and youth in decision-making, and fostering a balanced foreign policy that supports regional and international peace and security.
The alliance concluded by calling on all revolutionary and change-oriented forces that oppose the coup and the war and remain committed to a democratic civil transition to join its ranks and engage in joint action.
