Sudanese Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohieddine Naeem (Al-Muatasim Ibrahim), revealed in a statement to Al Jazeera Net the extent of the impact of the Israeli-American war on Iran regarding the supply of petroleum products in the country during the coming period, in light of current developments in global energy markets.
Ibrahim said that he reassures all Sudanese citizens that the impact of the war on Sudan is very limited, adding that necessary precautions have been taken to face any indirect effects.
The Sudanese minister explained that alternatives have been put in place to ensure the continuation of supplies until the end of April and beyond.
He pointed out that fuel is available, but he expected some gradual fluctuations in the prices of petroleum products if the war continues.
The minister said: Globally, we expect reasonable balances, and this will become clear in the coming days.
Sudanese circles fear a potential shortage in the supply of petroleum products due to the effects of the war on Iran, especially after signs of a crisis appeared in the markets of some cities.
The Sudanese Ministry of Energy and Oil announced yesterday, Saturday, that it decided to proceed with the implementation of the fuel import program in cooperation with public and private sector companies to provide the market’s needs for petroleum products.
