Women and Children Injured in Shelling Targeting Residential Areas and Facilities in Kadugli

Kadugli – Mashawir

An official in the South Kordofan State government said on Wednesday that eight women and children had been injured in shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N) against the city of Kadugli.

The RSF has intensified drone attacks on civilian targets this week, focusing on electricity stations, causing power outages across several states.

Nayir Nasaha Malika, Acting Director of the State Ministry of Health and Social Development, said the shelling of Kadugli had left eight women and children injured.

A drone reportedly fired four missiles at the electricity station, a fuel station, the city market, and the Third Degree neighbourhood.

The official condemned the attack on civilians and civilian infrastructure, accusing the RSF and the SPLM-N of carrying it out.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Al-Daw, Medical Director of Kadugli Hospital, confirmed that the facility had received civilians wounded in the shelling, noting that some of the injuries were serious.
