Sudanese feminist platforms and movements have condemned the increasing and indiscriminate use of drones and weapons in the war, which has targeted innocent civilians, particularly women and children. They also criticized the international community’s silence and called for decisive action.
Women’s leader and women’s rights defender Ihsan Faqiri said, “We have suffered tremendously because of this damned war, enduring fear, displacement, and rape in neighbouring countries.”
Meanwhile, Nafisa Hajar, Deputy Chairperson of the Darfur Lawyers’ Association and a human rights activist, said that “the increasing and indiscriminate use of drones and weapons in Sudan has resulted in grave human rights violations and the targeting of innocent civilians, particularly women and children.”
She added that decisive measures must be taken, criticizing the international community’s silence in the face of these violations.
