The Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Army, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, held talks with a French parliamentary delegation on the latest developments in Sudan and the government’s efforts to achieve security and stability in the country.
Al-Burhan briefed the delegation on what he described as violations and atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) against civilians, as well as the systematic targeting of state assets, institutions, and infrastructure projects.
For his part, delegation member Christopher Mario said that the visit aimed to assess the serious violations allegedly committed by the RSF against civilians in Darfur and other regions.
Christopher also noted that he had submitted a request to the French Parliament to classify the RSF militia as a terrorist organization, citing what he described as inhumane practices and crimes committed against civilians.
