A mobile medical clinic has begun operations at the New Khartoum Camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Tawila Locality, North Darfur, in a move aimed at improving access to free primary healthcare services and responding to the growing health and humanitarian needs of displaced communities.
The clinic provides general medical examinations, medical consultations, initial diagnosis of illnesses, and first aid for minor emergencies. It also offers maternal and child healthcare services, including antenatal care and child growth monitoring.
Speaking to Mashaweer, Dafallah Al-Fateh, Director of the Patients’ Relief Fund Organization office in North Darfur, said that the clinic will continue providing services to camp residents regularly from Sunday through Thursday.
He emphasized that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ease the suffering of displaced people and improve their access to essential healthcare services.
Al-Fateh added that the organization aims to expand its humanitarian and health interventions across the region to better address the increasing needs of displaced communities and create opportunities for implementing additional initiatives and projects that support the healthcare sector in North Darfur.
