Anxiety Among Sudanese Students in Refugee Camps Over Examination Dates
Reports – Mashawir

Sudanese refugee camps in eastern Chad are witnessing a state of anxiety and confusion among Sudanese certificate students and their parents due to conflicting information regarding the date of the upcoming national examinations.
The Sudanese authorities had earlier pledged to organize an alternative Sudanese certificate examination in the refugee camps in eastern Chad, following the failure to hold proper exams recently in Chad.
In a statement, the Network of Sudanese Organizations, Initiatives, and Associations in eastern Chad said there is administrative disorder and confusion in the process of registering and listing students.
It noted that while some students had been counted, their names did not appear on the published lists, putting their chances of sitting the exams at risk.
Meanwhile, JRS, the organization responsible for education in Chad, published an announcement confirming that the Sudanese certificate examinations would be held on the 28th of this month, only to later release another announcement stating that the exams would instead take place on the 20th. This has created significant confusion among students and their families.
