Seven Killed in Drone Strike on Shelter Center in Al-Abbasiya Tagali

Reports – Mashawir

Seven people, including women and children, were killed and several others seriously injured in a drone strike carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on a shelter center in the Al-Abbasiya Tagali area of South Kordofan State.

In a statement, the Sudanese Doctors Network condemned the attack as yet another crime added to what it described as the RSF’s record of genocide.

The statement stressed that the deliberate targeting of civilians and humanitarian organizations engaged in relief work is clear evidence that the RSF is waging an all-out war against the Sudanese people, deliberately spreading terror and death everywhere amid what it called a shameful international silence.

The incident came just one day after a similar attack on a shelter center operated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, which left five people dead — including children — and others wounded.

Cities across South Kordofan, particularly Kadugli and Dilling, are facing worsening humanitarian conditions under a siege imposed by the RSF and its ally, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N) led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu, amid reports that both groups are preparing new offensives against government-held areas.
