Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for African and Arabian Affairs, said that with the classification of the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood as a global terrorist organization, Washington continues to use all available tools to combat terrorism and address “malign Iranian influence.”
He added that Washington continues to use all tools and hold those responsible for crimes committed against civilians in Sudan accountable.
He continued that the Sudanese people have suffered greatly as a result of the ongoing conflict, including the malicious acts and gross violations committed by both parties to the conflict in Sudan.
Boulos added that it is time for the parties to immediately agree to a humanitarian truce, allowing for the delivery of vital humanitarian aid to civilians, opening the way for dialogue, and paving the road toward ending the suffering and achieving stability in Sudan.
