Jeddah… The Bride of the Red Sea Presents Sudan to the World

As part of Sudan’s participation in the “Your Passport to the World” event under the theme “Quality of Life”, organized by the General Entertainment Authority with the generous patronage of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the festival kicked off in the city of Jeddah, the Bride of the Red Sea. The event featured performances by a number of Sudanese music stars.
Ensaf and Wad Doba
The first day featured performances by the queen Ensaf Madani and popular singer Abu Al-Qasim Wad Doba, amidst a large and enthusiastic audience. In her remarks to Mashawir, Ensaf Madani praised the festival and expressed her delight in participating for the third time. She thanked the General Entertainment Authority and hoped to see such beautifully organized events held in Sudan as well.
Huda, Shukrallah, and Farfour
The second day was elegantly graced by the participation of the “Sultana” Huda Arabi, the “King” Jamal Farfour, and artist Shukrallah Az-Zein. Huda, in an exclusive interview, expressed her joy at participating, saying this time her passport was stamped for Jeddah. She thanked the Kingdom for providing this opportunity for the Sudanese community to showcase the culture and heritage of the Sudanese people. She noted the ongoing criticism that Sudan has failed to adequately present its culture, and stressed that this event was a chance to show the world the beauty of Sudanese culture. She also spoke of the importance of cultural exchange in enhancing the beauty of life. Shukrallah Az-Zein expressed his happiness at meeting his audience in Jeddah and being a source of joy for them, hoping such festivals would continue and become a meeting point for different cultures.
