Health Ministry: Cholera Death Rate Drops to Zero in Five Localities
Mashaweer – Reports

The Ministry of Health in Khartoum State announced that the cholera death rate has dropped to zero in five out of seven localities. The death toll has also decreased to six cases, compared to 12 deaths reported the day before yesterday (Sunday).
According to the Ministry’s daily report, a total of 605 cases have been recorded in the localities of Karari, Omdurman, and Umbadda.
Mohamed Al-Tijani, Director of the General Directorate of Emergencies and Epidemics at the Ministry of Health, noted a significant decline in the number of cases at the isolation center in “Mohamed Al-Amin Hamed” Hospital in Omdurman, which has been the largest treatment center since the outbreak began. This decline has led to the removal of the mobile tent that was previously added to the hospital to accommodate the high number of patients.
Al-Tijani added that the number of recoveries has reached 363, attributing the high recovery rate to the increase in field clinics, disinfection and chlorination teams, and expanded interventions among close contacts.
