Siege and Road Closures Worsen Food Crisis in Kadugli, Raising Alarms of Imminent Famine
Mashawir – Reports

Residents told the Mashawir platform that Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan State, is suffering from an almost complete lack of essential food supplies, such as sugar, flour, and cooking oil.
They pointed out that the worsening shortage of vital consumer goods has forced shop owners and restaurant operators to close their businesses temporarily.
Residents confirmed that the siege imposed on the city, along with the closure of the Dilling Road—considered the main lifeline for Kadugli—has contributed significantly to the scarcity of food and shortage of life-saving medicines.
The city’s inhabitants warned of an imminent famine within days if the current situation persists and urgent measures are not taken to resolve the crisis.
