The Democratic Bloc, which includes most of the Darfur armed movements that signed the peace agreement along with other political forces, condemned the international silence over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the cities of El Fasher, Kadugli, Dilling, and Babnousa.
The bloc called for more decisive measures to break the siege and impose sanctions on the RSF. Following a meeting, it also urged for a comprehensive solution and the design of a roadmap that safeguards Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.
Diplomatic sources revealed that the United Nations is awaiting RSF approval to carry out an airdrop of humanitarian aid into El Fasher, after the city’s humanitarian situation reached extremely critical levels due to the ongoing fighting.
