Sudanese Doctors Warn of Imminent Humanitarian Catastrophe in South Kordofan
News Report – Mashawir

The Sudanese Doctors Network reported the deaths of 17 children in the city of Dilling due to malnutrition, caused by a severe shortage of food and medical supplies in the state, and the difficulty of delivering humanitarian aid to the city.
The network warned health and humanitarian authorities of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe if urgent intervention is not taken to provide food and medicine, support health facilities with essential supplies, ensure the safe and regular delivery of aid, and lift the siege — even through airdrops if necessary.
The Sudanese Doctors Network called on international and regional organizations and relevant authorities to take immediate action to save civilian lives in South Kordofan State and alleviate the suffering of thousands of families facing the risk of famine and disease due to the blockade, especially during the rainy season when epidemics increase.
Field assessment teams from the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) revealed that about 500 people fled Abu Shouk IDP Camp in El Fasher locality due to rising insecurity, relocating to other sites within the city, while the situation remains tense and rapidly changing.
A DTM statement noted that the situation in El Fasher is approaching a full-scale humanitarian catastrophe, with worsening shortages of food, water, and medical supplies.
