The El Geneina East Emergency Response Rooms implemented a project to distribute shelter supplies to 120 displaced families in the Al-Amiriya neighborhoods of El Geneina, West Darfur State. The initiative was supported by USD 5,000 in funding as part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the humanitarian burden on the most vulnerable families.
Ali Idris, a member of the El Geneina Emergency Response Room, told Mashaweer that “the project reflects the expansion of urgent humanitarian responses to needs within the area.”
He confirmed that the Emergency Response Room will continue working to expand the coverage of its interventions and reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries.
He added that “the Emergency Response Room is committed to implementing its interventions transparently and effectively, ensuring that available resources are directed to the families most in need.”
Meanwhile, displaced person Suleiman Abdel Karim told Mashaweer that “providing shelter supplies has helped alleviate part of the suffering of the beneficiary families, particularly given the difficult living conditions facing displaced people.”
He called for expanding the scope of assistance to reach more displaced families and for providing other essential needs, particularly food, water, healthcare services, and shelter materials.
