The International Organization for Migration said that, with support from the Turkish government, it has distributed 4,300 tents to shelter more than 21,000 people in the cities of El Obeid and Al-Rahad in North Kordofan, as well as in Al-Damazin in Blue Nile State.
Displaced people in North Kordofan are facing a severe shelter crisis amid the continued influx of those fleeing armed conflict.
The city of El Obeid is hosting thousands of displaced people arriving from South and West Kordofan, many of whom are living in harsh humanitarian conditions.
Meanwhile, escalating fighting in Blue Nile State has forced thousands of civilians to flee from the areas of Kurmuk and Qeisan.
