Citizens in several areas under army control — particularly in the capital, Khartoum, parts of Al Jazirah State, and other regions recently recaptured by the army — are complaining about what they describe as growing “security violations.”
The accusations include looting, arbitrary arrests, and abuses allegedly carried out by armed groups or individuals wearing military uniforms, alongside the widespread presence of weapons and combat vehicles inside neighborhoods and markets.
Videos and local testimonies documenting these incidents have increasingly circulated on social media platforms, while authorities say they are working to control armed movements and pursue those responsible.
However, it has not been possible to independently verify all accounts due to the ongoing war and the complexity of the security situation.
