The Emergency Room of West Kordofan State announced a major deterioration in the region’s health crisis following the sudden outbreak of cholera, which has resulted in 69 deaths.
The emergency body
confirmed that “the region is facing an escalating humanitarian disaster, with the disease spreading across several areas of the state.”
It appealed to international humanitarian organizations and health authorities to intervene urgently to save the situation and contain the crisis before it spirals completely out of control.
The Dar Hamar Emergency Rooms also issued urgent warnings that health centers have completely stopped providing medical care due to shortages in medical supplies and the total lack of medicines, intravenous fluids, and essential medical consumables.
