Emergency Response Project Supports Displaced Families in Al Dilling, Sudan

Al Dilling – Mashaweer

The Qa’ar Al-Hajar Emergency Response Room in the city of Al Dilling, South Kordofan State, has distributed 250 food baskets to the most vulnerable families with support from the South Kordofan State Emergency Response Rooms Coordination Council, as part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to strengthen food security and support communities affected by the war.

The project comes amid worsening humanitarian conditions in Al Dilling, where many families are facing increasing difficulties in meeting their basic needs due to the continued impact of the conflict.

Mohammed Azraq, a member of the Qa’ar Al-Hajar Emergency Response Room, told Mashaweer that the food distribution is part of a series of humanitarian interventions being carried out to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable households.

He noted that humanitarian needs remain immense, underscoring the importance of continued support from humanitarian partners to expand the response and reach more people in need.

Meanwhile, internally displaced resident Faisal Hamad told Mashaweer that he appreciated the initiative, saying the food basket would help beneficiary families meet their essential needs amid the continued rise in food prices and the decline in household incomes.

He also called on humanitarian organizations to continue providing assistance to families affected by the war.
