Residents of the Umm Al-Qura area in Al-Khuwei locality reported that thirst is now threatening the lives of people in more than eight surrounding villages.
Photos taken from the area show dozens of people crowding around a water tanker truck carrying 140 barrels of water, which was completely emptied within just two hours of its arrival.
