UN Expresses Concern Over Use of Drones Near Residential Areas in Khartoum

Reports – Mashawir

The United Nations has warned of rising attacks against aid workers in Sudan, amid reports of violent incidents targeting staff of humanitarian organizations in Khartoum, East Darfur, and North Darfur. These workers face increasing risks, including killings, arbitrary arrests, and harassment.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric noted that attacks on humanitarian workers, along with bureaucratic obstacles, continue to hinder the delivery of aid to those in need.

He condemned drone strikes carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on several locations in Khartoum, including power stations, and expressed concern over the growing use of drones near residential areas.
