Dar Hamar Emergency Committee Warns of Landmine Fields in Al-Khowei

The Dar Hamar Emergency Committee has warned of “dangerous” military movements by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the Ayel Bakhit area of Al-Khowei locality, West Kordofan State, after the group reportedly turned the area into a military base and a launch site for drones, surrounded by landmine fields.

According to a statement issued by the committee, RSF elements have prepared the area to serve as a center for military operations, noting the presence of prominent rebel leaders, including Al-Safna, inside the town.

The committee warned of the serious risks posed by planting landmines in populated areas, urging residents to exercise extreme caution.

It also called on the authorities to act swiftly to stop these activities, which pose a grave threat to civilians.
