Doctors Without Borders: Cholera Gradually Spreading from One State to Another in Sudan
Follow-ups – Mashawir

The Ministry of Health in North Kordofan State has reported one death and 84 new cases of cholera within the state.
The ministry stated that the number of patients currently in isolation centers has reached 176, while the cumulative number of infections has risen to 6,899 cases, of which 6,092 have recovered.
Earlier on Monday, the ministry announced 63 new cholera cases and three related deaths.
The state is witnessing a rise in cholera cases due to a shortage of clean drinking water, caused by the shutdown of water stations following power outages.
Widespread areas of Sudan have seen a cholera outbreak, resulting in tens of thousands of infections and multiple deaths across several states, including Khartoum, Sennar, Al Jazirah, and North Kordofan.
Doctors Without Borders stated in a recent announcement that the disease is gradually spreading from one state to another across the country.
