Political Forces Call for an Inclusive Dialogue Without Excluding Any Party Inside Sudan

Reports – Mashawir

Political forces and armed groups allied with the Sudanese army have called for the launch of a comprehensive national dialogue that includes all parties without exception, following consultations held with a committee formed by the army commander to prepare for a new political process.

On October 15, Army Commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan held talks in Cairo with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, focusing on ways to resolve Sudan’s crisis and on ongoing efforts by the Quartet Mechanism in this regard.

Egyptian presidential spokesperson Mohamed al-Shenawi said in a statement at the time that “both presidents look forward to tangible outcomes from the Quartet Mechanism’s meeting in Washington later this month, aimed at reaching a ceasefire and resolving the crisis.”

Al-Shenawi added that the meeting also discussed the importance of the Quartet Mechanism as a framework for efforts to end the conflict, achieve peace, and restore stability in Sudan.
