Air and artillery attacks disable 10 medical facilities in Dilling

Dilling – Mashawir

The Sudan Doctors Network announced on Saturday that around 10 health centers and major hospitals in Dilling, South Kordofan State, have gone out of service due to ongoing air and artillery attacks carried out by an alliance of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N).

The network stated that medical facilities in the city have been repeatedly targeted by shelling, in what it described as a clear violation of international law.

It added that these attacks have forced a large number of functioning medical facilities out of service, including the Teaching Hospital, which is now largely non-operational despite attempts to partially restore it. Meanwhile, Al-Tomat Referral Hospital has remained out of service for some time.

According to the statement, the Military Medical Hospital has been completely destroyed, while Mother Bakheeta Hospital is now limited to providing only maternity services.

The network noted that these attacks have led to a near-total collapse of the city’s healthcare system, amid a severe shortage of medical personnel, a lack of medicines and equipment, and the breakdown of radiology machines that urgently require maintenance.
