The Darfur Victims Advocacy Organization and Al-Amal Wal-Malath Organization have warned of deteriorating basic and health services in Al-Dariqa village, located in Adila locality, East Darfur State.
The two organizations warned that the village’s only water source, which serves both residents and livestock, is at risk of collapse.
The organizations said a joint team conducted an assessment visit to the area on August 6, 2026, during which it listened to residents’ complaints and concerns.
They noted that “the village’s main well is on the verge of collapse, while both people and animals depend on it for drinking water.”
The two organizations issued an urgent humanitarian appeal to local, regional, and international organizations to intervene by providing water, health and environmental services, and the necessary assistance to residents of the area.
