Mashawir – Reports

The Khartoum State Ministry of Health has discussed with the World Health Organization (WHO) ways to enhance healthcare services in the state, including the establishment of major isolation centers for cholera cases and other associated health complications. The discussions also focused on strengthening disease vector control efforts through large-scale public health campaigns in preparation for the rainy season.

In a coordination meeting between the Ministry and the WHO delegation, the participants highlighted the importance of reorganizing the healthcare sector, particularly emergency and trauma services, as well as services for children, women, and maternity care. The meeting also emphasized the need for the provision of emergency medicines and the expansion of community-based training programs.

Acting Minister of Health, Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, stressed the importance of joint coordination to implement the outlined plans and objectives.

He affirmed that the Ministry is continuing its efforts through routine operations and support provided via expanded health campaigns, in cooperation with partners, to boost the healthcare sector’s capacity.
