Urgent Call to Establish an Air Bridge to Deliver Aid to Trapped Civilians in El Fasher

The El Fasher Resistance Committees Coordination has issued an urgent appeal for the creation of a civilian air bridge to ensure the delivery of emergency aid to civilians trapped inside the city.

The Coordination called on all civil forces and organizations across Sudan to support the popular air bridge initiative and to coordinate efforts to organize the transport and airdropping of supplies regularly and safely.

In a statement, the Coordination urged humanitarian, international, regional, and local organizations, as well as the country’s leadership, to carry out similar humanitarian aid operations for the El Fasher area, in order to end the suffering of thousands of civilians stranded amid fighting and siege conditions.

Separately, the Coordination issued a warning to civilians living in neighborhoods near areas of active clashes, following what it described as an escalation of violations committed by militias against residents, including repeated killings of civilians in recent days during militia raids on homes in the city.
